Iran box office top hits revealed

The weekly list of bestselling films at the Iranian box office chart has been revealed with ‘Rahman 1400’ shining at the top for second consecutive week.

According to the Cinematicket official website, the bestselling films of Iranian domestic cinema theaters for March 28-April 3 are:

‘Rahman 1400’ directed by Manouchehr  Hadi, (Weekly gross, 74,371,930,000 Rials, Total gross, 128,402,550,000 Rials).

It tells the story of Rahman who is facing severe financial problems and difficulties.

He intends to ask for help from a company managed by Mr. Jalousi. However, Mr. Jalousi writes him a cheque for 2021.

‘6.5 per Meter’ directed by Saeed Roustaee (Weekly gross 49,437,660,000 Rials, Total gross, 90,388,680,000 Rials).

The social drama, which pinpoints the issue of drug abuse and its aftermath, shows how a police officer and his squad try hard to eradicate the issue at hand.

‘Four Fingers’, directed by Hamed Mohammadi, (Weekly gross, 22,696,320,000 Rials, Total gross 37,296,150,000 Rials).

The flick narrates the story of two friends who travel to Cambodia to finish an unfinished job. But completing the incomplete task is not so easy.

‘Prisoners’, directed by Masoud Dehnamaki, (Weekly gross, 8,710,900,000 Rials, Total gross, 16,660,230,000 Rials).

It tells the story of some prisoners who take some days off to search some rural areas for an old treasure. While searching in cold snowy mountains, an avalanche stops them and they need something like a miracle to find a way back to prison!

‘Pig Gene’, directed by Saeed Soheili, (Weekly gross, 5,953,450,000 Rials, Total gross, 8,979,210,000 Rials).

It narrates the story of two inmates who break out of prison to fulfill a plan they had already devised. The things that happen to the two of them make the whole plot of the film.
